Account Executive – Commercial Lines

Brown & Brown is seeking an Account Executive to join our Commercial Lines team in Denver, Colorado!


  • Manage and retain existing book of business and pursue new opportunities for the book, where appropriate, including a specific business plan for growth
  • Spend approximately 50-60% of the time outside with clients and new business opportunities
  • Provide client support with all levels of client’s decision-makers as well as the day-to-day technical client representatives
  • Follow-up to address client needs and resolve any problems or issues
  • Ensure proper resources within the organization are available to the client and introduce new products through other core business groups, where appropriate
  • Understand the needs of each client and develop and oversee client service plans
  • Document sales and prospecting information in the sales management database
  • Prepare client renewals and new business strategies, including proposals and presentations, while ensuring agreement with client’s requests/requirements
  • Present proposals to clients, ensuring appropriate team members and resources are available
  • Foster and seek relationships with teammates across all levels of Brown & Brown
  • Ensure compliance with government agencies and corporate policies and procedures
  • Attend training sessions, courses, etc. to maintain up-to-date skills
  • Always conduct the highest level of confidentiality


  • High school diploma or equivalent, required
  • 5+ years’ experience in medium and large commercial insurance
  • Colorado P&C License
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills



  • Expected pay range of $80,000 to $140,000

Target Pay

$140,000.00 USD Annual

Offers will be negotiated based on each candidate’s qualifications.
