Live life at the top!DescriptionHighly skilled mechanic who safely performs diagnostic, maintenance and repair of heavy equipment such as, but not limited to: Haul Trucks, Water Trucks, Rubber Tire and Track Dozers, Front-end Loaders, and Motor Graders.Perform the removal, repair and installation of transmissions, engines, brakes, differentials, pumps, motors, torque converters, final drives and other heavy equipment systems or componentsPerform mechanical and lubrication preventive maintenance on machine systems such as: hydraulic, power train and enginesPrioritize and make decisions regarding equipment repair as neededResponsible for maintaining work orders and performing work area inspectionsOperate mobile equipment such as: overhead cranes, forklifts, and boom trucksPerform welding such as: Carbon Arc, Plasma, MIG, TIG, and StickPerform as a Fill-in Supervisor as requiredTrain and mentor other employeesPerform other duties as requiredQualificationsMinimum QualificationsTwo (2) years of experience in Heavy Equipment mechanical maintenance or a combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenanceMust have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required aptitude. The selected candidate shall demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and skills while also passing a written assessment where required.
