As a Radar and EW Systems Engineer you will develop and evaluate radar systems payloads and architectures for missions related to but not limited to Electronic Warfare (EW), Ground Moving Target Indication (GMTI), Airborne Moving Target Indication (AMTI), and Synthetic-aperture radar (SAR). The job role requires in depth understanding of RF systems, radar signal processing and their relation to payload and the operational architectures and constraints.

Daily activities will include mission analysis, developing algorithms for advanced radar applications, analysis software development, interfacing with HW and processor engineers, and HWIL planning and testing and support program acquisition in all phases of the design.

Basic Qualifications:
– B.S. in a science or engineering degree with emphasis areas in Signal Processing, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, of Software, Embedded Systems, Distributed Computing or related field.

– Experience with software tools such as MATLAB, Python, C++, HDL, Simulink, and other scientific or HW programming languages

– Mathematical systems analysis with verification by simulation and test

– Advanced radar applications such as Special COMMS, EW, Bistatics, GMTI, AMTI, or others.
Desired Skills:
– Experience with GMTI and AMTI algorithm and analysis for fully adaptive radars utilizing STAP to support clutter mitigation

– Optimal Detection and Estimation algorithms for radar applications

– Algorithms and analysis for EW systems including ESM (PDWs, Signal Formation, Data Base Models), EP (STAP, other), and EA techniques and modeling

– Algorithm to HW transition, to include Processor Sizing, IO, HDL, and experience with HW

– Payload and algorithm testing in laboratory environments

Pay Rate:
In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $111,700 – $186,100 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9×80 every other Friday off
