The Boeing Company is currently seeking a MidLevel GPS IIF Software Engineer to join the Space and Launch Team Global Positioning System (GPS) sustainment group located in Schriever AFB, CO. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.
The Space and Launch Team creates the next generation products and services for the BDS business unit. GPS is a satellite-based radio navigation system owned by the United States government and operated by the United States Space Force. GPS is the world’s largest military satellite constellation and is the world’s only global utility. The current Boeing team supports the US Space Force by sustaining and monitoring the health and capabilities of the 12 GPS Block IIF satellites in the GPS constellation launched from 2010 to 2016. The Boeing GPS sustainment team also provides support to its US Space Force customer with reports and expertise on all aspects of the GPS system. Sustainment efforts will continue through the life of the Block IIF satellites, with a design life expectancy of 2028 and beyond.
Boeing Government Satellite Systems at Schriever AFB, CO near Colorado Springs, CO is looking to hire a Software Engineer Level 3 to develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems for the GPS IIA and IIF Operations Sustainment program.
This position allows limited telecommuting. The selected candidatewill be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options for much of the week.
