Control Systems Engineer

This is a Contract position in Cherry Creek, CO posted August 22, 2020.

GA-EMS expanding portfolio of specialized products and integrated system solutions support critical fleet, space systems and satellites, missile defense, power and energy, and process and monitoring applications for defense, industrial, and commercial customers worldwide.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Satellite Attitude Controls Engineer Engineer working on satellite systems to join our team located in Englewood, CO.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop guidance, navigation, and control (GN&C) algorithms for satellite missions.
  • Provide Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) signals knowledge and applicability to satellite GNC and wider applications.
  • Establish, maintain and execute satellite attitude control simulation software.
  • Analyze the stability and robustness of guidance and control algorithms using control theory and Monte Carlo simulations.
  • Design, implement and maintain space-borne GNSS receivers and payloads.
  • Undertake requirements capture, performance trades and design activities.
  • Actively participate in system level design of satellite systems across all project phases, through attitude control subsystem architectural design development.
  • Apply technical knowledge to analyze, investigate and resolve engineering problems.
  • Prepare technical responses to bids, presentation materials and reports, for a variety of applications and customers.
  • Support and actively participate in customer and supplier meetings and presentations at all project stages.
  • Liaise with customer and supplier staff, and staff from other parts of GA.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.
