Responsibilities
· Professionally, courteously and efficiently service the commercial insurance needs of assigned clients.

This includes all aspects of client service (except claims), marketing and placing coverages with our insurance markets and handling the day-to-day work and paper flow necessary to accomplish this responsibility.

· Continually analyze existing client coverage needs, upgrade and change when appropriate, (as well as solicit additional coverages from assigned clients) to achieve the goal of servicing total commercial insurance client account.

· In cooperation with the Sales Department, professionally and completely analyze the current commercial insurance policies, risk exposures and coverage needs of acceptable new client prospects, offer appropriate coverage change recommendations, prepare and communicate overage/cost proposals to achieve objective of marketing, placing and servicing this business.

· Observe and follow all currently implemented systems, procedures and guidelines established by our insurance markets, the Commercial Lines Department and the Agency and those systems, procedures and guidelines that may be implemented in the future.

· Meet all individual quantitative and qualitative goals and objectives established by the Commercial Lines Department Manager and/or Agency Management.

· Perform any other duties, jobs and projects at the Department Manager’s or Agency Management’s request, such as development of new procedures, training Commercial Lines Technical Assistants and other Commercial Lines Client Service Representatives.

· Work closely with the Commercial Lines Technical Assistants to ensure quick and efficient processing of all items.

· Travel to other locations for training or client meetings.

· Provide back-up for the claims and / or the personal lines personnel.

· Advises, consults and coordinates with Producers, Commercial Lines Department Manager, and other departments (accounting).

· Provide high level of job performance including exceeding service objectives for new business, renewals and changes of coverage.

Qualifications
· Minimum of 7 years of insurance agency or company experience and high school diploma or minimum of 5 years of insurance agency/company experience and 2 year college degree
· Continuous professional educational courses to maintain Brokers License.

· Advanced working knowledge of the coverages, rules, regulations, cancellation restrictions and state requirements in the assigned book of business.

· Ability to work independently or in teams with good organizational skills and initiative.
