Responsibilities: Serve as a scrum master for a fast-paced and multi-faceted IT services division within a government agency.

You will be responsible for managing the Agile process for a large-scale IT implementation.

You will be responsible for managing development of user stories, grooming the backlog, prioritizing project activities, developing reports, coaching team members on Agile best practices, assisting in estimating story points, and communicating status to senior leaders.

The qualified candidate should have experience leading Agile projects in multi-stakeholder environments, be adept at managing work across a multi-disciplinary team, and be experienced in leveraging a variety of program management tools to manage workflow and requirements.

Qualified candidates should also have experience managing and grooming the backlog of user stories and ensuring acceptance criteria are met.In addition, in this role you will be responsible for coordinating with project managers on risks, issues, and proposed mitigation strategies.

Strong coordination and communication skills are desired, as this role requires coordination across a multidisciplinary team of engineers, project managers, IT staff, to accomplish project objectives as well as liaising directly with the client to provide guidance, advice, and recommendations.

Qualifications: REQUIRED:
– Secret clearance?
– A Bachelor’s degree is required for this position to be considered-Minimum of 3 years of experience-Certified Scrum Master-Experience overseeing the Agile process for larg scale software development projects-Experience managing the Agile process in federal government setting-Experience engaging with high level government officials, and coordianting multiple stakeholder equities-Experience with delivering technology solutions according to the principles that underpin the SAFe® for Lean Enterprises’ framework-Ability to facilitate all Scrum Events and ensure participants understand the purpose of each event-Experience ensuring all Scrum Artifacts are transparent and make sure the most appropriate practices are applied in the absence of complete transparency-Demonstrated ability to remove impediments to the development teams’ progress and manage project schedules to ensure milestones are achieved PERFERRED: -Experience with facilities and asset management software such as Archibus a plus -Experience overseeing the development and/or implementation of applications and platforms, including COTS products such as ServiceNow and a facilities management software solution.
