Cyber Risk Management Framework (RMF) Specialist


This is a Contract position in Boulder, CO posted August 1, 2022.

Requires US Citizenship Employment Term and Type: Regular, Full Time Required Security Clearance: TS/SCI Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Requires: Completion of COVID-19 Vaccination Inoculation Series Job Description: Perform Cyber Security Analysis core functions at Marine Corps Intelligence Activity, MCB Quantico, VA.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and/or review for adequacy security artifacts and Body of Evidence (BoE) documentation that include, but not limited to: Security Concepts of Operation, System Security Plans, Risk Assessment Reports, Plan of Action and Milestones, Configuration Management, Security Control Traceability Manuals, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) supporting IA control compliance and Test plans Support RMF continuous monitoring to ensure ISR systems/networks remain compliant with NIST IA controls and manage resolution of POA&M deficiencies Process hardware, software, network, and system requirements (new/modifications) through security certification/approval processes defined by the Authorizing Official/Designated Authorizing Official with approval authority for the requirement Review/archive system audit logs Provide media management support Manage user accounts Provide creation/deletion and troubleshooting assistance Execute assigned duties with emphasis on implementation and application of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems IAW National Institute of Standards (NIST) Special Publications (SP) 800-37, 800-53, 800-53A and Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) Instruction 1253 Required Qualifications: DoD 8570 certified, IAT Level II Four years’ experience as Cyber Security professional Familiar with Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and applicable guidance (NIST 800-53, NIST 800-37, CNSSI 1253, FIPS 199, ICD 503, etc.) Experience with security assessments and controls and respective IT infrastructure, and capable of correlating applicability, validating compliance/implementation, and working with engineers for mitigations Experience uploading data for accreditation review, importing data elements from the ATO letter and reviewing data in Xacta package to prepare for assessment Experience reviewing Technical Assessments (ACAS, SCAP, PPS Verification, STIGS) Experience generating SCCM data elements, POA&M, SAR, and Risk Assessment Reports (RAR) Desired Qualifications: Associates Degree DoD 8570 IAM Level III Broad IT background Network architecture and data flow knowledge Familiar with Marine Corps IT systems and networks Education Requirements: High School Diploma Physical and Environmental Conditions: Requires Sitting (66%), Standing (15%), Walking (15%), Near Acuity (100%), Speaking (100%), Listening (100%), Sight (100%), Use of fingers and hands (100%) Travel 5% CONUS.
