Position Summary: This position is for Gallagher Charter Lakes, a division of Arthur J Gallagher & Co.

Gallagher Charter Lakes is a marine insurance agency focused on all areas of marine insurance including but not limited to recreational boats; charter and inspected vessels; boat rentals; marine artisan; and various commercial marine risks.

We are looking for an ambitious team member to maintain high servicing levels, identify problems, and attain positive resolutions.

The Customer Service Representative Senior handles the most complex customer inquiries or issues, providing product expertise and advice to clients and customer service staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provides customer service to variety of customers over the telephone.

Resolves customer specific technical issues with limited problem solving precedent.

Researches, analyzes, and resolves complex service issues for agents and insured’s.

Accesses multiple systems for detailed claim or underwriting information from a computer workstation.

May oversee the development and delivery of training for customer service representatives.

Additional Considerations: Issues policies and coverage changes within a designated time frame Builds, expands, and solidifies relationships with existing clients, agents, and carriers Maintains a current task list to ensure processing goals are met Handles and processes incoming mail and correspondences Resolves complaints and payment issues independently Independently quotes policy changes within designated authority limit Handles complex accounts Able to market coverage to alternative products Understands various product lines and underwriting criteria Required: High School diploma or equivalent 3 or more years experience Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office suite of applications (such as MS Word, Excel, etc.) Work Traits: Good verbal communication skills Maintains current P license Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to multi-task Able to work independently or as part of a team Possesses critical thinking skills Strong work ethic U.S.
