Salary Range for Accounting Assistant: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour

Vergent Products is an employer of choice in Northern Colorado, and we are seeking a full-time Accounting Assistant to perform primarily accounts payable (AP) and account receivables (AR) duties. This includes processing customer statements, posting client’s and suppliers’ invoices, and reconciling payable balances while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • (AR) Set-up new clients in the ERP system
  • (AR) Process clients’ credit application and suggest credit terms
  • (AR) Generate client invoices daily to email to clients
  • (AR) Ensure correct posting of all clients’ invoices and payments in the ERP system
  • (AR) Work with clients to secure payment for past due accounts
  • (AP)Set-up suppliers in the ERP system
  • (AP) Process supplier credit applications
  • (AP) Manage supplier invoices
  • (AP) Ensure correct posting of all supplier invoices and payments in the ERP system
  • (AP) Maintain and organize support for supplier payments (checks, wire, and credit card payments)
  • (AP) Reconcile supplier statements, and research and correct discrepancies as necessary
  • Support other accounting projects as necessary
  • Back up the front desk reception duties as necessary

Requirements:

  • Experience with accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger systems.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to maintain a solid sense of urgency
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Be able to demonstrate attention to detail and good record-keeping
  • Strong team player who can collaborate with other teams in the organization.
  • High level of interpersonal skills with demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy
  • Dependable with a strong work ethic.

Education:

Associates Degree in Accounting or Finance and/or 3+ years’ experience
